Not well-shaped bodies
Needed to be hewed
In order to look
Like Greek's statues

Some of them had to have
Both hands cut
Others fingers only
Ears or noses

Mr Janek (from the first floor)
Was transformed
By a chisel
Of the famous sculptor
From Majdanek

Ms Kowalska (from the flat No 5)
Used to be a model
of Fine Arts Academies
in Brzezinka and Dachau
as a high-fidelity copy
of Nike from Samotraka

Even Miss Anna
Now: Lot's wife
Was beat out one piece of ice
In Siberia

So how can anyone wonder
That so precious works
Were kept under guard
Behind barbed wires
And each one had had made
Inventory number
And two photos:
En face and profile

Ranks of moving sculptures
On the station's platform
Was passing by
Quality control
The best pieces
Were packed in chests
Wrapped up straw

In order no to be broken
During transported
